Happy Birthday Encounter, Youth Sunday & Cupcakes

Happy Birthday Encounter Church!  Exactly FOUR years ago today, we launched Encounter- and God has been faithful every step of the way.   Will you take a minute right now and thank God for who He is and pray for our church?  To God be the glory for the great things He has done! 

This Sunday, join us for Youth Sunday and a cupcake celebration after!  We get the privilege of being led and encouraged by our students in the Encounter Youth Group.  We will worship together and hear testimonies of how God is working in their lives. In addition, starting this Sunday, we are opening up a time of prayer from 9 - 9:30am in the front office of Philip Reilly.   We will pray for our church, our community, our marriages, or personal needs. Reading through the Old Testament, I’m reminded that it is the Sovereignty of God that invited Israel into God’s story.  They were given an opportunity to worship Him and call upon His name. He called them not because of what they had done but because of His great love. He chose them.  

In that same way He chose us and invites us into relationship with Him. We are given an opportunity to worship Him with our whole hearts every day. Worship is more than just songs, but songs are such a beautiful reflection and opportunity to orient our hearts toward God. We’ve created this playlist on Spotify so that you can worship throughout the week with many of the songs that we are singing on Sunday mornings.
